From Zamboanga to CDO to Mapawa Nature Park
1. From Zamboanga fly to CDO
2. Head to Cogon Indahag Terminal.
3. At the terminal, ride a van or jeep heading to Indahag.
4. At Indahag, ride a tricycle heading to Mapawa Crossing.
5. When you’re at the crossing, ride a habal-habal. Inform the driver to pick you up later at a certain time.
Things to do at Mapawa Nature Park
1. NATURAL WATER SLIDE
– Slide down a 20 ft high waterfall and splash straight into refreshing cold water.
2. TREK
– You can explore the park through treks. There are a lot of animals and plants you can see on the way.
3. BODY RAPPEL
– The 10 feet high waterfall can’t be slid down due to the rocks, so you have to rappel downwards.
4. CLIFF JUMPING
– There is a 25 ft. high cliff looming over a natural waterfall pool. The water is 15 ft. deep so jumping with a life vest is completely safe!
5. 65 FT. RAPPEL
– The 65 ft. waterfall has to be conquered with a rappel downwards. Reminder, use your feet (not knees) against the rocks.
6. ZIPLINE
– Try to see the Nature Park through the ziplines scattered in the park. It is worth it!
7. GO CAMPING
– There are designated camping sites for those who want to camp.
8. FEED THE ANIMALS
– Only feed the roaming birds in the actual park under the supervision and approval of a staff.
